Cirque Du Soleil - Twas The Night Before New York reviews
less than magical
I've seen many performances of Cirque both in Arizona and Las Vegas and have loved them all. I opted to treat a friend to this event purchasing eighth row seats two months prior. It's not a good thing to have someone ask what I thought of it personally once the curtain closed.
Though I applaud the artist for the talent, there just seemed to be a missing "Cirque Magic" with each performance. The costuming too lacked imagination, and there was too much dancing.
I would have to say the story line ended up being the worst concept. It was strange to follow a little girls journey to a story which is a classic depicting Santa's own voyage.
I enjoy Cirque because of the colors, the fantasy, and the subtle eroticism. If you were to put on another Christmas performance, bring me to the Isle of Misfit Toys, AND THEN BUILD ON IT!
Show was excellent! So much fun!
Even though our experience with the Fox Theatre was less than stellar, the show itself was amazingly awesome. The whole family loved every moment of it. My kids were enthralled! Unfortunately, part of our show was ruined by the latecomers who the Fox ushers actually seated 20 minutes into the performance and then stood there arguing about who was going to sit in what seat for almost 5 minutes, and, of course, the same latecomers got up and down multiple times during the 80 minute performance. I did not spend a ridiculous amount of money to see them stand in between me and the stage.
